“Mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved…”
This bit of passage from Jack Kerouac’s On the Road is responsible for starting the journey of my becoming a writer. But as I grow older in age and wisdom, I see that these are not enough–I am also mad to love. Mad to love God, mad to love others, mad to love the written word. To me, this reflects my writings and what they entail the best.
Most of the posts written here are Christian-based with a bit of humor tossed in because, really, who likes a Christian without a sense of humor? Answer: Hardly anyone. The truth is that I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life and I’d like to help others avoid making those same mistakes. And that’s why I write.
I don’t expect you to agree with everything I write. In fact, I’d rather you not. Life is in need of those rousing debates that anger our opinions and challenge our beliefs. I don’t know everything, nor do I have all the answers…and I like it that way. But I do hope you’ll read with an open mind and heart, because that’s how my words are written.
Regardless, I sincerely hope you enjoy what you find here. Happy reading.

I really love your blog ! You’re writting is fun to read. I’ve never really been into reading much but if I can get my hands on your book I will do so!
You rock.
Wow, okay, as a christian young women attending a very secular school, sometimes it’s so discouraging how many of my friends just don’t “get it”! I have LOVED reading your blog and have even suggested it to many of my non christian friends as an example that being a christian doesn’t mean you are immediately boring! So thank you, for keeping it light and keeping it real.
Thank you, Rachel! I appreciate your support

I attend a Christian university, and am surrounded by Christian couples and the whole “You must find yourself a husband and start a family ASAP” atmosphere constantly, we jokingly (well, kind of jokingly) call it the marriage factory. Today I stumbled onto your blog and what I have read so far is absolutely fabulous and your humor is such a breath of fresh air. Keep up the good work!
Thank you, Molly! I appreciate your kind words
